Showers in Mediterranean, cold and unsettled much of Scandinavia

Wednesday
Rather widespread thunderstorms developing later in the day across northern and eastern regions of Spain, possibly affecting northern parts of Portugal. Largely dry elsewhere here. Dry through the Balearic Islands. Scattered thundery showers across Sardinia and Corsica as well as central and southern Italy. Largely dry through Greece, although a few showers in the north. A dry and hot Turkey.
Largely dry and fine across northern Europe thanks to ridging high pressure. A few developing showers in the far southeast of France and over the Alps. Thunderstorms across Serbia. Heavy rain moving into the coastal areas of Poland and northeast Germany.
Unsettled through the Baltic Sea with heavy rain moving across the Baltic States. Eastern parts of Sweden and southern regions of Finland will also see cloudier skies and some rain. Largely dry elsewhere.

Thursday
Thundery showers in the east of Spain on Thursday. Fine in the west and south of Spain and Portugal with lots of sunshine. Scattered showers in the Balearics and through Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy showers over Italy. Greece and Turkey will have sunshine but should be dry.
Apart from scattered showers in the far southeast of France, but for most of the country the day will be dry with lots of sunshine. The Low Countries will be dry with lots of sunshine too. More sunshine in Germany, although some showers affect northern Poland. Showers for Switzerland. Fine through Hungary and most of Austria.
Cloud and some patchy rain for Denmark. Cool with wind and some heavy rain in the Baltic States. Further rain in Finland, some of it heavy. Further rain for northern and central Sweden but dry to the south. Some showers in western Norway, but dry and fine to the south.
