Showery rain, in places thundery, across north and east Europe

Thursday
Thundery showers in the east of Spain on Thursday. Fine in the west and south of Spain and Portugal with lots of sunshine. Scattered showers in the Balearics and through Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy showers over Italy. Greece and Turkey will have sunshine but should be dry.
Apart from scattered showers in the far southeast of France, but for most of the country the day will be dry with lots of sunshine. The Low Countries will be dry with lots of sunshine too. More sunshine in Germany, although some showers affect northern Poland. Showers for Switzerland. Fine through Hungary and most of Austria.
Cloud and some patchy rain for Denmark. Cool with wind and some heavy rain in the Baltic States. Further rain in Finland, some of it heavy. Further rain for northern and central Sweden but dry to the south. Some showers in western Norway, but dry and fine to the south.

Friday
A hot and largely dry day for Spain and Portugal, however, an odd local shower cannot be completly ruled out across the very southern region. Mainly dry throughout the rest of the Mediterranean, although thunderstorms for northeastern areas of Italy and a few scattered showers developing across Sardinia.
Largely dry across France but more cloud and showery rain across the Low Countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland into the Czech Republic. Scattered showers for Poland with thunderstorms in the far east here. Slovakia and northern parts of Croatia seeing developing thundery heavy showers.
Largely dry and fair across Norway and Sweden, although some local heavy showers affecting far southern regions of Sweden and Finland. Drier elsewhere across Finland. Variable cloud and a few showers across the Baltic States. Breezy with showery rain for Denmark.
