High heat in west, relatively cooler in the east.


Saturday
High pressure is in charge over western Europe with extensively dry, hot and sunny weather. Temperatures in central Spain and Portugal will rise toward the mid-40s Celsius. Nearer to 30C around the immediate coasts. Also topping 40C in southern France, reaching the mid-30s for central France and high 30s for northern Italy. A risk of thunderstorms for Austria and the Balkan states. Hot and dry too across the Mediterranean and for Greece and Turkey too.
Very warm too for the Low Countries and southwest Germany, highs around 27C. Fresher for northern Germany and Czechia, where 20 to 23C. Showery, breezy and cooler for Poland and the Baltic States. Unsettled around the Baltic with some heavy rain for northern Sweden and Finland. Showers for western Norway, but bright and breezy for southern Norway and Denmark.


Sunday
Staying largely dry and fine across much of southern Europe/the Mediterranean with exceptionally high heat once again across France, Spain and Portugal. One or two showers could pop up across east Italy as well as through northern parts of Greece.
Dry and hot across France and the Low Countries with plenty of strong sunshine. Dry too for Germany though many areas cooler in comparison to the west. Dry across eastern Europe but also relatively cooler. A few showers developing in the Alpine areas.
Largely dry across Sweden and Norway though more cloud cover across western Norway bringing the risk of some patchy rain here. Showery rain through north Finland, drier towards the south. Dry and fine across Denmark and the Baltic States.
