Cooler northern Europe

Tuesday
A cold front moving across northern central Europe lowers tempertaures considerably from the Low Countries to Poland, but still approaching 30C for central France, southern Germany and Alpine regions. Southern Europe remains hot with lots of sunshine for Spain and Portugal. Local thundery showers for eastern Spain and the Pyrenees. Thunderstorms forming for Austria, north and central Italy and the northern Balkans.
Areas of thundery showers too for Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary. Hot and sunny for Greece, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria. A zone of thundery rain moves eastwards across Poland and the Baltic states. Low pressure brings unsettled conditions to northern Europe. Breezy or windy for southern Scandinavia. Areas of heavy rain extensive across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Sunshine and showers for Denmark. Some drier weather for eastern Sweden.

Wednesday
Eastern Spain could see one or two isolated thundery showers later but staying dry, fine and hot across the Balearic islands as well as Corsica and Sardinia. A few heavy showers likely to affect northern and central regions of Italy though the far south and Sicily staying dry. Largely dry across Greece and Turkey.
Northern Europe stays dry and fine with many regions cooler than of late. Eastern regions of Switzerland into west Austria and down the Balkan States will see showers developing. A drier day for Poland, Hungary and Czechia.
Windy with with outbreaks of rain across Finland as well as northern regions of Norway and Sweden, drier further south. Cloudy with patchy rain affecting western regions of the Baltics, drier further east. Breezy for Denmark but mostly dry with sunny spells.
