Heavy rain moves further into central-eastern Europe
High pressure is around Biscay, whilst low pressure influences central and southern Europe. Showers over southern parts of Spain where it may also be rather cloudy. Cloudy too for the Balearic Islands but staying dry here. Dry and bright for northern parts of Spain and Portugal. Thundery showers for northern parts of Italy and the Balkans. Drier and brighter to the south and for much of Greece and Turkey.
Mostly dry and bright too for France with a few showers over eastern areas. Showery outbreaks of rain affecting the Low Countries and much of Germany. Heavier, often thundery, showers for Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
Heavy, thundery showers affect the Baltic States. Denmark and southern Sweden see a mixture of broken cloud under slack high pressure, with well scattered showers and sunny spells. A mostly dry and bright day for Norway while Finland will see a damp and cloudy day under a slow-moving front.
Much of Spain and Portugal will be dry and warm. Also generally dry across the Mediterranean, with a better day across most of Italy as low pressure moves away toward eastern Europe. Dry too for Greece and Black Sea regions.
Heavy rain affects Hungary, Slovakia, and southern Poland, with areas of thundery rain also extending into the northern Balkans, also across Germany, the Czech Republic and the eastern Alps. Quite cool under the rain for central-eastern Europe.
Drier across Switzerland, and a generally dry day across France, although a front moves in from the northwest to bring rain to Brittany. The Low Countries and much of Scandinavia will be dry, although patchy rain is likely to affect Denmark and far south of Norway. A warm southeasterly breeze for the Baltic states where the day stays dry. A chance of thunderstorms forming for eastern Sweden and southwest Finland.
