A settled spell of weather for much of central Europe


Friday
Fair in Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. Heavy, thundery rain in Corsica and Sardinia, this affecting southern Italy too. Greece and Turkey should be staying fair with more spells of sunshine.
A fine day in most of France but some cloud and patchy rain to the northwest. Much of the Low Countries, Germany and Poland should be fair with sunny spells - isolated showers affecting northern coastal areas. Staying fine across Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland with more sunshine to come.
Breezy in Denmark with a mixture of light scattered showers and sunny spells. Windy too in the Baltic States as well as Finland. Staying windy in Sweden with some heavy rain in the north. Windy for Norway with rain and showers.

Saturday
Saturday is dry and bright for Spain and Portugal. Cloud building from the northwest later. Showers ease over Corsica, Sardinia and southern Italy but may persist over Sicily. Dry and fin for northern Italy. A dry, bright and warm day for Greece and Turkey with occasional isolated showers to the east.
Mostly dry and fine for France - cloudier to the north with occasional outbreaks of rain to the northwest. Cloudy too for the Low Countries and northern parts of Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. Brighter to the south and for Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia where it will also be dry.
Breezy with persistent rain for Denmark. Wet too for Estonia and Latvia. Drier but cloudy in Lithuania. Breezy too for southern Sweden with outbreaks of rain, this also affects southern Finland. Drier for Norway with sunny spells though wintry showers affect western coasts and northern areas as well as northern parts of Sweden and Finland.
