Sunny southern Europe but turning colder in Scandinavia


Wednesday
A fine day with a lot of sunshine for Spain, Portugal and the Balearics. Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and the Adriatic will also have a dry day with spells of sunshine. Some sunshine in Greece and Turkey but heavy, thundery showers around the south of Greece, down towards Crete, will move east into Turkey.
Dry for France, spells of sunshine in the south but with cloudier skies in the north. Rain over the Low Countries, Central and Southern Germany and Poland, accompanied by strong winds, will move south into Central Europe, reaching the Black Sea coast later.
Breezy with rain or showers in the north and west of Norway, also for Southern Finland and the Baltic States at first, otherwise dry across much of Scandinavia with some sunshine,
Little change temperature-wise, with southern areas retaining the warmth but becoming colder across central and northern parts.

Thursday
A fair day in Portugal and Spain. Plenty of sunshine and it should be dry too. The Balearics will be dry with good spells of sunshine and it should be staying dry in Italy. Greece will be dry with sunny spells although wind and rain affect eastern Turkey.
France should be dry and sunny although there will be some morning fog patches. The Low Countries will have variable cloud amounts. Wind and some showers in northern and eastern Germany with cooler weather and some rain passing south through Poland. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland will all be dry with sunny spells.
Denmark will be breezy and cold although with some sunny spells. Dry and sunny in Sweden. Heavy wintry showers in the Baltic States with some of these affecting Finland. Norway will be wintry with most showers in the south.
