Warm sunshine southern Spain & Portugal

Saturday
High pressure centred west of Iberia brings fair weather to Portugal and much of Spain, with temperatures reaching 25C on some southern Costas. Cooler toward the north, and showers will affect Biscay coasts of Spain and France. Areas of slow moving thundery rain for central-southern France, whilst clusters of heavy showers will also break out for northern Italy and the Alps, plus Germany and the Low Countries. However, showers will be hit and miss, meaning some regions will escape dry.
High pressure resides across eastern Europe, bringing fair and weather to many countries. Temperatures into the low 20s Celsius from the Balkans to Hungary and Poland. Eastern Germany will also see a warm day. Thunderstorms for southern Turkey and Cyprus. Shallow low pressure over Scandinavia results in a mixture of sunshine and areas of showery rain - most persistent in western Norway, and also Finland, whilst Sweden and Denmark should stay largely dry.

Sunday
High pressure builds across western Europe, whilst low pressure becomes centred over the western Mediterranean. A fair and warm day for Spain and Portugal. A few showers for the Pyrenees. Heavy and thundery rain will affect Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily, perhaps much of Italy, although showery toward the Alps. Meanwhile, France and the Low Countries should be largely dry, but a few showers are possible. Risk of a few showers too for southern Germany and the Czech Republic. Thundery bursts may also break out across western Poland by afternoon. Staying dry and warm across eastern Europe, including Ukraine, Romania and also Greece . Showery rain develops for the Baltic states, and slow moving areas of rain are likely in northern Norway and Sweden, whilst a brisk westerly breeze affects southern Scandinavia.
