Thunderstorms in central and easter Europe, fair north and south


Tuesday
During sunday and high pressure will be maintained across much of the UK extending up into Norway, Sweden and most of Finland so many northern areas of Europe continue with a lot of fine weather and pleasantly warm too, especially so across the UK despite a developing breeze here.
Low pressure is forecast to be situated across Poland and surrounding countries through the day so an unsettled spell of weather is predicted for more eastern areas of Europe with showers, thunderstorms and longer spells of rain and particularly cool here as well as N'ly winds develop, extending down out of Scandinavia.
The remainder of Europe continues with plenty of sunshine but with some heavy and thundery showers and during Sunday these are likely to be most frequent, and perhaps severe, across France, Spain and Portugal of which continues to be particularly cool and unsettled for the time of year.


Wednesday
Showers in northern Spain. Fair for the rest of Portugal and Spain with good spells of sunshine. The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia will be dry with good spells of sunshine. More sunshine to come in Greece and Turkey and feeling very warm here too.
Heavy and thundery showers in France, some of these reaching the Low Countries. Fair for most of Germany, although thunderstorms in the far south. Poland should be dry with more sunshine. Showers in western Austria, fine in Hungary although heavy thunderstorms for Switzerland.
Sunny spells and dry in Denmark. Isolated showers in the Baltic States although some heavier showers in Finland. Scattered showers developing in Sweden. Sunny spells and dry for Sweden
