Fair central and southern Europe, rain to north


Thursday
Slack pressure across western Europe maintains a generally warm air mass for many countries. High pressure remains centred over the Finland. Chance of an isolated shower for southern Spain, but most of Iberia stays dry and warm, topping 30C in the west.
Into the upper 20s for south-west France. Dry across most of France, the Alps, Italy and Germany. Areas of thunderstorms for the far south of Italy, the southern Balkans and mainland Greece. Dry for eastern Europe with easterly winds.
Patchy rain for the Netherlands and Belgium, which may extend to western Germany. Breezy for Denmark and Norway, perhaps a little rain. Extensive dry weather around the Baltic, highs 17 to 20C.


Friday
Rain in northwest Spain on Friday. For the rest of Spain and Portugal the day should be fair with sunny spells. A fine day across most of Italy with moe sunshine here, although some heavy showers will be affecting the far south. Greece should be fair with dry weather and more sunshine here whilst heavy showers will be affecting Turkey.
Cloud and some rain in the west and north of France. Most of the country should be fair after morning fog clears. Cloud and rain in the Low Countries and the west of Germany. Poland should have a fair day with sunny spells. Switzerland, Hungary and Austria will be dry with sunny spells.
Some cloud and rain for Denmark and breezy here. Norway should be dry and rather breezy with fair conditions. Sweden will be dry too with sunny spells here. Finland and the Baltic States are also going to be dry, again with plenty of sunshine.
