Dry & bright for many

High pressure continues to extend its influence over Europe bringing widespread dry and settled conditions. Warm across the Mediterranean.


Sunday
Cloud will build from the northwest over Iberia through Sunday afternoon bringing prolonged spells of rain to northwestern Spain and much of Portugal. Central and eastern Spain will stay mostly fair and dry. Some cloud developing over the Balearics but staying dry while Corsica, Sardinia and Italy will see more dry and bright weather. Mostly dry and bright too for Greece and Turkey with just a chance of a shower in southern areas.
France will be mostly dry on Sunday: cloudy in the west, bright in the east with the chance of some light rain for Brittany and Normandy. Dry, bright and settled weather continuing on Sunday for the Low Countries, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
A dry but overcast day for Denmark on Sunday. Starting rather overcast for the Baltic states too but brightening through the afternoon. A chance of some light showers in Latvia. A mostly dry and bright day for Finland while Sweden and Norway will be overcast but staying mostly dry.


Monday
Rain continuing for Portugal and western Spain on Monday morning though this will ease as it moves eastward through the day. Staying dry and bright in the east. Overcast but dry again for the Balearics. Dry and bright for Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey.
A band of rain will edge into northwestern France through the afternoon and it will be a largely overcast day across the country. Cloud building over the Low Countries after a bright morning but staying dry. Dry and mostly bright for Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Cloud will build through the day over Denmark eventually bringing some light rain by the early evening. A mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells for the Baltic states but staying dry here. A band of snow will move northeastward over northern parts of Sweden and Finland but it will stay dry, if a little overcast, in the south. Snow showers will affect western coastal regions of Norway.
