Cold and unsettled across northern Europe, milder and more settled across central and southern areas


Christmas Eve
Into Christmas Eve and high pressure will dominate across much of central, western and southern areas of Europe bringing fine weather to much of France , Iberia and down into parts of the Med, including Italy , for example. More unsettled weather dominates across northern areas of Europe through with rain, sleet and snow especially across parts of Norway and Sweden , while unsettled weather also extends down into eastern and south-eastern areas of Europe, with rain and showers around the Adriatic and across parts of Greece and surrounding countries too.


Christmas Day
On Christmas Day and the high pressure will dominate across much of central and southern areas of Europe with fine and mild conditions dominating across Spain , eastwards into much of France, Switzerland , Italy and throughout much of the Med as well. More unsettled conditions continue though across northern areas, including the British Isles Scotland and also across Norway and Sweden, parts of Finland as well, but with a greater risk of a 'White Christmas' here with snow certainly expected across parts of Scandinavia through the day. Much of Europe though will be mild and with many areas seeing little risk of snow through the day.
