Thundery southern Italy & Greece

Wednesday
High pressure is focused toward the north-east of Europe, producing a warm south-easterly airflow across central parts of the continent, and plenty of dry weather. Chance of a thundery shower in the far south of Spain. Climbing above 25C in south-west France. Some rain fringing into Brittany. Temperatures of 20 to 23C for central Europe. A few afternoon showers for central Europe, including the Alps, perhaps a band of thunderstorms by evening for northern Germany. Thundery showers breaking out for southern Italy, the southern Balkans and mainland Greece. Dry for eastern Europe and the Baltic. A little rain may affect southern Norway and Denmark. 20C in southern Sweden.

Thursday

Chance of an isolated shower for southern Spain, but most of Iberia stays dry and warm, topping 30C in the west. Into the upper 20s for south-west France. Dry across most of France, the Alps, Italy and Germany. Areas of thunderstorms for the far south of Italy, the southern Balkans and mainland Greece. Dry for eastern Europe with easterly winds.
