Staying unsettled over France, Spain & Portugal; drier and brighter in the east
Wednesday sees further heavy rain arriving in northern and western Iberia; drier and brighter in the southeast of Spain. Heavy rain too for the Balearics first thing but this should ease to leave a dry and bright day. Isolated showers for Corsica, Sardinia and Italy. Mostly dry and bright for Greece and Turkey though there is a chance of isolated showers in the south.
A mixture of sunny spells and heavy thundery showers for France and the Low Countries with some particularly heavy bursts of rain over eastern France. Showery too for western Germany, drier in the east. Isolated showers affecting Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic.
A wet and breezy day for Denmark but staying fine over the Baltics and Finland. A band of rain will move northward into southwestern parts of Sweden and southern Norway through the morning and afternoon but further north it will stay dry and bright.
Thundery showers continue for Portugal and Spain though the sunny spells in between will increase in frequency and duration as the day progresses. A mixture of hazy sunshine and good bright spells for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Scattered showers affecting parts of Italy and Greece throughout the day but it should remain mostly dry and bright for western Turkey.
A cloudy day for France with frequent heavy, thundery showers and heavy bursts of rain. These increasingly becoming confined to the southeast. An overcast day too for the Low Countries with the chance of a shower or two. Drier and brighter for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.
A band of showers will ease northward over Denmark throughout the day while it will be rather wet for Estonia and Latvia. Lithuania staying dry but dull. Mostly bright and dry for Finland, Sweden and Norway though a band of showers moving northward will reach southern Norway through the evening.
