Unsettled across the Mediterranean; snow for Turkey

Tuesday
Sunny and mild in south-western Spain & Portugal, temperatures up to 17C in the Algarve. Cooler with showers on the Biscay coast. Unsettled in the western Mediterranean, with areas of heavy rain threatening southern France, Corsica and Sardinia. Cold for Italy, with snow showers in the south, but some sunshine in the north. Chilly too for Greece , just 6C, with heavy rain over the Aegean Sea, and snow inland for Turkey.
Fairly mild for France, with a little rain in the west. Cold toward the Alps, with snow for Switzerland and the French-German border. Dry and cold for eastern Germany and Austria. Widespread very cold air resides over eastern Europe - daytime temperatures staying at -3 to -8C in Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and Romania, although it will be dry with sunshine. A southerly breeze for the Baltic region, but temperatures will be near freezing. Relatively mild in Norway and Denmark at 2 to 4C, where some rain spreads from the west.

Wednesday
Largely dry for Iberia, with warm sunshine for southern Spain and Portugal. A brighter day for southern France and Italy. Dry and bright for the Alps - chance of a few snow flurries. Unsettled with heavy rain for Greece. Dry and cold for the Balkans.
A cold front moves quickly across the Low Countries, northern France and Germany, bringing squally bursts of rain and gusty winds. Eastern Europe remains very cold and mainly dry. Temperatures may lift in Poland as winds freshen. Heavy snow is possible around the Black Sea and eastern Carpathian mountains.
Winds will strengthen across Scandinavia in the early hours, bringing heavy rain and mountain snow to Norway, which spread quickly to southern Sweden. Gales developing around the Baltic.
