Snow across Scandinavia

Today
Strong gales will affect southern France and it stays windy across the Mediterranean with lots of heavy showers continuing from the Balearics eastward into Italy and Greece. These showers will be heavy with a risk of thunder. A better day to come across Iberia with sunny spells but windy and cool across Portugal and Spain. Just the odd wintry shower in the far north of Spain. Mainly dry as well across France today. Snow will fall across the Alps with an area of rain from Austria into Hungry, Poland, The Baltic States, Belarus into the Ukraine and Romania. Showers are forecast across the Czech Republic and the former Yugoslavia. Much of western Turkey will be dry with spells of sunshine through showers will affect the east. Lots of heavy showers today across Belgium, Holland and Denmark with snow showers across Norway, northern parts of Sweden and Finland, dry in the south.



Tuesday
Windy with gales and rain across Britain and northern France. Most of central and southern parts of France will be dry with sunny spells. Fair and dry across Belgium and Holland with showers across Denmark. Snow showers will affect northern parts of Poland with heavy snow showers across Norway and Sweden. Heavy show is forecast for Finland with an area of rain across Russia into Belarus, the western Ukraine across Romania. Expect a mix of rain and snow showers across the former Yugoslavia with heavy showers and thunderstorms from Sardinia across Italy into Greece and Bulgaria. A dry day to come across all of Turkey today. Mainly dry as well across Switzerland, Austria and Hungry. Lots of sunshine is expected across Spain, Portugal and across the Balearics. Apart from a few showers in the south, much of Germany looks fine and dry.
